Description
Vacuum clamping system for CNC machines
This is the first vacuum chuck in a series that will be further expanded.
In this case, it is a chuck with a diameter of 80mm and a height of 20mm.
The G1/8 inch thread must be cut or melted into the core hole afterwards.
The 2mm wide groove of the seal is 1.4mm deep and is designed for a 2mm foam rubber cord, it may also work with a piece of TPU filament.
To generate the vacuum I recommend a vacuum pump or a Venturi valve.
To attach the chuck to the table of the CNC machine, there is a hole for an M8 cap screw in the center.
Required materials:
- Foam rubber cord diameter 2mm
- G1/8 inch pneumatic fitting (6mm)
- Pneumatic hose (6mm)
- Vacuum pump or Venturi valve
