Lamp base Universia for E27 Socket Fixture
Print Profile(1)

Description
A simple, yet beautiful lamp base that provides an excellent complimentary design to any lamp. The top opening is 42mm diameter. I've experimented with numerous materials, and it looks quite good in all of them. The base is is 73mm diameter - narrower than most other bases published, as it provides a cleaner look. It is provided with two heights - 75mm which is the minimum to fit a typical e27 socket, and a slightly higher 90mm version that looks good as well.
The print is positioned upside down and using concentric infill with a bit of gyroid infill in the middle to connect the two sides, the inner and the outer
The seam is positioned in the rear, aligned with the cable opening, controlled by a slightly protruding ridge, which becomes a design feature.
To use, place an e27 socket with a ring underneath. Then either secure the socket in place with a thin e27 ring or place the shade and then secure with a typical e27 ring inside of the lamp shade, locking both the socket and the shade in place. Then place your LED bulb.
To get the shiniest possible look if printing metal or silk filaments, use a higher temp 225 or more, the print speed is already slow for outer perimeters in the print profiles, which helps with the shine as well. Some of the filaments I've used that you can see in the images are PLA Marble, Spectrum PLA Wood (the one with the fixture attached), Spectrum PLA Silk Bronze and Indigo Blue, Polyterra PLA matte earth, and cheaper standard PLA bronze that actually give a nice balance between shiny and non-shiny look (the one in the rear right in the first image)
