Description

UPDATE (Aug 16, 2024): Please consider the original designer's new version. I posted this very slight modified version based on his Thingiverse model before this new version. I have not tried it myself, but love the original version and intend to try it soon.

My daughter wanted a simple Nintendo Joy-Con “bone” over the store bought one. She found this model on Thingiverse by manabun:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2523187

My first attempt to print failed at about 80% due to the raft coming loose.

My modification was very small: I cut 0.2mm off the curved surface and used a brim with 20mm width. Not much but the print finished without issue and all the controllers clicked into place with ease. My daughter later added the strap parts and they also clicked in nicely.

Now my wife wants one :)

Printed with Eryone tricolour PLA Black/Red/Gold

Note: I didn't run Dynamic Flow calibration on this filament nor Flow Calibration (problem with LiDAR and silky filaments). It was functional but I will definately do manual calibrations in the future to address the ghosting.
