Description
UPDATE: A new and improved version of this lock is now available: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2605244-child-safety-drawer-lock-v2#profileId-2874887
What’s new in V2?
- Includes a 90-degree bracket for a cleaner fit and durability (can be used with v1).
- Features a modular base so you can swap belts without re-gluing the lock to your furniture.
- Improved belt alignment to reduce wear.
----
Child safety lock, designed and tested in PLA without supports. Simple and lightweight design.
Held well in my testing but did not try with the actual kid. The main weakness comes from the double-sided tape you use to attach the lock to the surface, my lightest Command strip failed after some trying, use something stronger.
The middle section is just 2 - 0.2mm layers which makes it quite flexible while still strong against horizontal pull force. It should withstand significant number of bandings around 90 degree corners.
