Description

This is a Year 10 Industrial Technology Engineering sustainable technology project. Students build a simple timber frame and experiment with gears, gear ratios, the number of blades, the angle of blades, etc. to try to improve the output from a small DC motor. There are gears for the motor (shaft diameter of 2mm) and for the 6mm wooden dowel shaft connected to the blade hub. 

The motor used is from Scorpio Technology Victoria and has the code GENDC. These motors come with small screws which make attachment to the motor mount very straight forward.
