Description

Lukas Hannert's High Speed Propeller Launcher is incredible, and loads of fun. I wanted to create a hand crank that would allow my daughter to enjoy the full-sized launcher as much as I do. I'm happy with how it turned out and there are a few use cases where you may want to give this a try:

  1. Breaking in a new launcher without using a power drill. It helped mine a ton, even if it drove everyone around be insane.
  2. Continuous operation of the launcher. The launcher has potential uses outside of its original (Examples: for use as a drill or connected to a small, high speed generator).
  3. For someone with wrist mobility issues, or a small child that cannot turn the larger launcher. It won't soar to the moon, but it works reasonably well.

One note: for me, the propeller launches higher without the crank. The launcher works best with fast and sudden acceleration, which is hard to get with this crank. That said, because there are use cases for it, I wanted to provide it to the community.
