Description
De-stress Rotating EDC Spinner
This design has undergone several iterations, primarily focusing on balancing magnetic force and rotational feel.
Initially, it featured 18 magnets per side (36 total), resulting in significant resistance, rendering one-handed rotation impossible. Subsequent versions used 6 magnets per side, allowing for easy rotation but compromising the tactile experience.
The final iteration balances 12 magnets on one side and 6 on the other, achieving a satisfactory equilibrium.
Multiple versions are provided; the spherical surface version (far left) offers optimal tactile feedback, effortless rotation, and a crisp sound. A larger aperture version is also available, though rotation may be slightly more challenging. Choose your preferred version for download.
A smooth surface version is also included, allowing users to customize both sides using Bambu Lab's slicing software (monochromatic and multicolored versions provided).
You will need 12-18 Bambu Lab 2x4 magnets and one “MR128 deep groove ball bearing - EA004”.
Note: The rotational axis is designed for a very tight fit! No adhesive is required; ensure proper alignment and firmly insert using a rigid tool. If too tight, gently heat the hole with a lighter for 2 seconds, then immediately insert.
