Description

🚢 Benchy Catapult Shooty 3000 by 3dGAPI šŸ’„

This is a fun print-in-place remix for the A Decade of 3DBenchy Contest! I combined the classic 3DBenchy with my Shooty 3000 catapult to create a boat that launches tiny projectiles, like the blue ball shown in the photo. The 3DBenchy base tests your printer’s accuracy, while the print-in-place catapult arm adds some desk battle fun! Just print, remove supports, and start launching—no assembly required.

šŸ’” Tips for best results:
• Print with tree supports (as shown in the Bambu Studio screenshot) for the 3DBenchy overhangs (cabin roof, bow) and the catapult arm.
• Use lightweight printed projectiles (like the small 3D-printed blue ball in the photo, printed in TPU for a bit of bounce) or you can use simple paper projectiles too!

• Important: Print in the same orientation I set in Bambu Studio (as shown in the screenshot). The model is tilted to optimize layer direction for strength—if printed flat from bottom to top, the catapult arm might snap under stress.

Original File: This is an original model submission, remixed from the official 3DBenchy CAD file: Original 3DBenchy STEP File. Check out my Shooty 3000 here: Shooty 3000.

āš ļø Caution: This product contains small pieces (balls), which may be a choking hazard. Keep away from small children and pets!
