I appreciate those of you that choose to subscribe. Your support helps to keep me motivated to providing quality profiles.
My daughter has a mini kitchen with an ice maker in the door and she's been complaining the last few days that it doesn't work, and then she grabs her little bin of tools and has me fix it, then pretends that it's working again. The other night after she went to bed I sat down at the computer and drew up her own mini–ice tray and ice cubes and 3D printed them for her. She was and still is so excited about them. This profile is printed and PETG and for the supports it uses PLA for an interface layer. You can change it to be PLA for the print and PETG for the interface layer if you like. I wouldn't change any of the support settings you should get a really nice finish. A lot of the problems people face when trying to use a different material for an interface layer is a failed or brittle print and this is because their flushing volumes is not high enough to get the old material out of the nozzle before it begins to print I have the flush volumes set to 400 and have made several of these with great success so I feel you will not have any issues. Of course you can adjust any of the other parameters as you like or I have it set now it gives a nice sturdy tray but I don't feel that it's overdone but I know some of you are all about saving material I try to make things as light and cheap as possible but have fun with it and please share your prints.
