Description

This is another attempt at the Blitzball.  This one has a higher facet count and is more accurate to the original Blitzball.  Designed in Fusion, this ball is another fun TPU ball to print and play with.  Fun to throw wicked sliders and curve balls, and durable enough to hit with any bat WHEN PRINTED IN TPU.

DO NOT PRINT IN PLA AND HIT IT WITH A BAT!  It will explode.

PRINT IT SLOWLY!!  I printed this in Overture High Speed TPU which can print faster, but this ball needs to be printed slowly for best quality.  The included profile has the speed capped at 30mms, but other types of TPU might need to be printed more slowly.  I also recommend you dry your TPU before printing.  I dry mine thoroughly with a Sunlu S4 dryer and print with the filament in the dryer.  Wet filament or printing too fast will likely result in scarring on the bottom of the ball.

Support info:

The print profile has manually painted supports on the build plate only.  The supports come away cleanly.  I like to use a needle nose pliers to gently pry them away.  It is satisfying to peel them off.

Have fun!
