Description

This is a model of long pliers. Its really cool and can be used for many things such as picking up filament poop. It is pretty strong for its thin body and can not be printed on the a1 mini (the printbed is too small). If you would like me to add a smaller version that is printable on the a1 mini, let me know and I will add it immediately. It has 4 printed parts and has a pretty important assembly. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW AND WATCH THE VIDEO.

Firstly, let the parts cool for a minute or two and then remove the supports. You might notice that the dovetail(the rail that the top cap slides on) might have some loose lines of filament. Please remove those so that the cap is able to slide more smoothly.

Look at the picture below to see the loose line that is removed. Its just peeling off the extra filament that was on the supports. You can do this a few times and test it out until your cap can slide freely and smoothly.

After that, add the lever (part that your thumb/finger will move) to the pin. Push hard enough to make sure there isnt any space between the bottom surface. Angle it in the exact orientation of the picture below. From here, you will have to push the little material on the lever at the top into the small hole on the cap. To do this you will have to push it against the ridge of the base pretty hard but if you are using PLA or PETG, you should be able to flex and snap it in place.

Then, add the jaw in the hole of the base and align the holes together.

Now, add a small piece of filament through the hole and watch your pliers start grasping.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT ME TO CUSTOMIZE IT ANY WAY OR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS
