Description
Update 15.5.25: I have now also added a print profile for both 3/8" and 5/8" hoses
Update 29.4.25: I have now also added a print profile for ¾" hoses with an inner diameter of 19mm and outer diameter of 24mm
This is a quick hose coupling for ½" garden hoses and ¾" garden hoses
A suitable double connector is also included to connect two hoses together
The coupling dimensions are such that commercially available garden irrigation components can be used
The hose is attached to the coupling by means of a clamping cone and a union nut (Tip: briefly immerse the hose in hot water beforehand)
The ½" print profile contains 4 different clamping sleeves to allow the use of various hoses with different outer diameters
For sealing the double connector, standard O-rings with dimensions OD=16mm, ID=11mm, thickness 2.5mm are necessary
Once the double connector or a corresponding tool has been inserted into the coupling, it can be secured against being pulled out with the locking slider (see photo)
Warning: After printing, the support structures in the main body's slot and the small support structure on the slider must be cleanly removed The slider can then be inserted into the slot and will lock in place
Best to print in PETG-HF, as it is UV-resistant and has better strength
Tip: If you want the coupling to be multicolored, it's best to print the model multiple times (in different colors) and then mix the individual parts ;-) Have fun
