Description

This is a case for commodore 64/128 cartridge. It is based on Versa64Cart by Bwack, but I made modifications on it.

Versa 64 Cart is a recreation of original commodore cartridge, it does use the standart 8K and 16K images. It's only compatible with 8/16K binary files. It can hold up to 8x8kb or 4x16kB image when used with 27512 type eeprom. When fully assembled you can select any image from the EEPROM using the DIP switches and jumpers, or you can just configure everything using the solder bridges and make a permanent cartridge(unless you reconfigure it with another soldering session )

It uses a M3 screw to hold pcb in place and top and bottom clips together

Regarding parts:

  1. Bottom: that is the bottom of the case.
  2. Smooth Top: this is a top that doesn't have and place for a reset button and doesn't have a seperate lid. its good for giving original cartridges a new case OR making new cartridges that you dont need to play with dip swithes and need a reset button.
  3. Plunger for 5mm button: print this if you have a reset button that has a lenght of 5mm
  4. Plunger for 4.3mm button: print this if you have a reset button that has a lenght of 4.3mm
  5. Plunger for 7mm button: print this if you have a reset button that has a lenght of 7mm
  6. Lid with no reset:  the lid part that doesn't have a place for a reset button. Good when you have DIP switches but doesn't have a reset button.
  7. One Piece Top With Reset: top part that doesn't have a removable lid but has a place for reset button. Use it with plungers that correspond to your button height. Good for when you don't have a DIP switch of have a reset button, like a diagnostic cartridge.
  8. Top  With Lid Cutout: Top does have a cut out for a lid, you can use with “lid with reset” or “lid with no reset”.
  9. Lid with reset:  the lid part that does have a place for a reset button. Good when you have DIP switches and does have a reset button. Use it with plunger that correspond to your button height.
  10. Smooth Top Big Reset: This is a complete case so you don't need to print bottom. It has a place at the back for a big push button or a switch that you can go between 2 images. Since Versa 64 Cart is compatible with most commodore cartridges you can use this option if you are using another pcb that does have a reset button.
