Raspberry/Blackberry Trellis

### Update V2 ###

  • Central holes repositioned towards the post
    • Increased plant spacing and improved sunlight exposure
  • Assembly should be reversed
    • In my case, since I only use the outer holes, it doesn't matter.
    • However, you should mount the bracket rotated by 180°
      • so that the inner shoots receive more UV radiation
      • In the images, the wire is inside the post, you can use the holes
      • so inner holes up, outer down (see image Update V2)

I always had the problem of having too little space for my raspberries/blackberries to keep them properly separated.

Therefore, I designed this expansion element; in conjunction with plant support wires, it serves to stabilize and guide raspberry/blackberry plants.

Material:

  • PETG – robust, weather-resistant, UV-resistant

Construction:

  • Two symmetrical support arms with integrated lattice structure (weight saving and stability)
  • Connection in the middle via wood screws to a vertical post
  • Designed for square wooden posts with a minimum width of 50mm and a maximum width of 80mm

Mounting:

  • Via screw connection (two M5 screws per arm) to wooden posts with a minimum width of 50mm and a maximum width of 80mm
  • Wire guides at the arm ends and inside for plant support wires
  • Connected via a dovetail guide
  • I have a 50cm distance between trellises, which I would recommend

Function:

  • Wider support for raspberry shoots
  • Reduced risk of shoot breakage due to wind load
  • Optimized ventilation and sunlight exposure
  • Optimal plant guidance
  • Improved harvesting and maintenance conditions due to better accessibility of the plants

PS: The inner bores were not used because I had already stretched a wire on the post……
