SOLAR VERTICAL GARDEN

I present my self-designed vertical garden project. Improvements are welcome, and I can modify the design accordingly. I 3D printed all components using PTGE for enhanced outdoor durability. The pump, selected for its low energy consumption, is a mere 1W model, inexpensively sourced from AliExpress.

An equally affordable solar panel was also acquired from AliExpress.

Beneath the main reservoir—capable of holding three liters of nutrient solution—I incorporated a sealed compartment to house the wiring neatly. There's also space for a power bank to store excess solar energy not used by the submersible pump.

I also created feet to elevate the unit slightly from the ground.

The integrated 5000mAh power bank (purchased from Amazon) initially charged well and powered the pump flawlessly. However, a drawback emerged: simultaneous charging and pumping are impossible. I'm currently seeking a power bank capable of both input and output.

Two planter models were created, both using minimal material, but one boasts greater durability thanks to its thicker construction and a central reinforcement rib for increased stability.

Generic A+B hydroponic nutrient solution is employed. I'll post photos of the results later.

Rock wool cones, purchased online, perfectly fit within the planters.
