Description
Parametric Sign Stand
Customizable Holder for Table Cards, Labels, Phone & More
This small project started because I needed a simple way to hold cards for a buffet setup. It turned into a parametric stand that works for many different purposes — such as name tags at events, small signs for exhibitions, or table labels at a party.
The stand features a tilted back support and a simple base. You can adjust the angle, width, depth, thickness of the back, and other details directly through the OpenSCAD script.
Optional side rails can be added to keep cards securely in place. There's also the option to add a circular/square pattern to the back, which not only adds some decoration but also saves a bit of filament.
It’s designed for easy printing without supports, ideally printed flat on the bottom side.
The cards themselves can simply be cut from regular paper and customized to fit the occasion.
Examples of where the stand can be used:
- Labeling food items at a buffet
- Name tags at workshops or meetings
- Information cards at exhibitions or DIY fairs
- Simple table signs or small decorative labels at home
- Phone Stand
Technical Notes
- Printable without support structures (if you don't change the angle to much of course)
- Parameters like angle, size, bevel, and patterns can be customized directly in the script
- Recommended settings: PLA, 0.2 mm layer height, about 15 % infill, 0.4 Nozzle
