Description

Age of Sigmar Reminder Tokens with Travel Vault

After quite a few requests to have some similar tokens for Age of Sigmar similar to those I made for WH40K, I just had to make them. I have not played it myself – yet – but I didn't want to have others wait any longer. I've used the same colors as my faction for WH40K as those should be familiar to quite a few people by now.

For these tokens I reused tokens that fulfill similar purposes and I tried to come up with unique designs for the ones specific for Age of Sigmar. To know of which tokens would be best to design and create I got some help. I would like to give a special thanks to @GuggiTheFirst, as without their help I wouldn't be able to get this set out as it is presented here.

These are the current tokens I've created:

  • Strike First
  • Strike Last
  • ">>" (Charge/Fight First or Faction specific)
  • Rend +1
  • Rend -1
  • Attack +1
  • Attack -1
  • Damage +1
  • Damage -1
  • +1 To Hit
  • -1 To Hit
  • +1 To Save
  • -1 To Save
  • +1 To Wound
  • -1 To Wound
  • Objective Reminder Token (Arrow)
  • Unit Reminder Token (Arrow)

Designer's notes:
The tokens are designed with slanted edges on the bottom for easy pick-up from the table.

The Token Vault/Box is different from the original as it has an extra compartment for the extra Damage Token stack.

I've included a kids friendly version of the arrow tokens in the same print profile.

From the previous tokens I've made I learned that the top layer of white would be translucent to the color below, therefore I've changed the design slightly such that the color beneath the black is thicker (has more layers), and is therefore less translucent.

Print Advice

I've designed the tokens to be printed at 0.2mm layer height. The parts are therefore split on multiples of 0.2mm, and you'd get the best result using multiple colors printing at this 0.2mm layer height.
By having these splits for the color change all at the same height, these can be printed on a printer that doesn't support multiple colors. You'd have to build in pauses on the correct layer heights and swap the materials manually.

Manual color change:

  • Layers 01-10 – Color 1 (White)
  • Layers 11-15 – Color 2 (Orange)
  • Layers 16-18 – Color 1 (White)
  • Layers 19-20 – Color 3 (Black)

For my set I've printed them using Polymaker's PolyTerra Matte colors.

I hope these can make others happy and be of use at many tables!

Happy gaming! And printing!
