August 13th, 2025 [V1.1]: Modified supports to be more printer and user friendly. The supports are now “Normal (Snug)” in the form of quarter-circles for a much more rigid adhesion to the print bed and to reduce chances of failure for those with uneven print beds or materials with poor layer adhesion such as PLA Silk. This change adds 5g of filament in support material waste, a compromise made to ensure a much more fool-proof print.
Brick Built Style Lightsaber
I modeled this brick built lightsaber to life size, so that everyone may live their fantasies of cosplaying as Jedi Bob! There are many others like it out there, but I was not satisfied with many of them being print-in-place, have wild scale issues, and have poor screw-on cap integration. With this model, I aimed to solve most of those issues!
Features:
- Optimal scale with minimal compromise to design
- Separately printed blade to allow you to swap blades with one handle
- Concealed screw-on cap for a stylish way to change out different blades
Please use the .3mf file when printing the handle. It contains custom settings to ensure the highest quality print with minimal, easy to break supports around the base of the handle. Recommended settings are provided for the removable blade segments, but default settings work fine.
As a bonus, the .step file is included for the cap for those that wish to modify their blades with additional features, such as a light. Below is an example of modifying the cap to house a light for a translucent PETG blade!

Any other features you would like to see for this design? Let me know in the comments below! This is the cultivation of numerous iterations to arrive at this model, and I'm very eager to make this the best rendition out there! Thanks for your time!
