Description

Gridfinity Boxes for the Bambu H2D

A set of Gridfinity-compatible boxes (plus a lid) designed to hold basically everything that comes with the Bambu H2D: the cutter, 10 W laser module, and most accessories. I could not find any other designs that considered everything.

Note: 40 W laser module is a different dimension. User PeaGarg created a 40 W laser version linked here.

Exception: It doesn’t fit the brush. I wasn’t about to make every box one Gridfinity unit larger just to accommodate a tool I’m never going to use.

📦 Design Notes

  • Every part has a snug, intentional spot. I tried to make use of all the dead space as bonus storage areas.
  • The grid layout was generated using gridfinitygenerator.com - super handy if you're doing custom setups. Great tool.
  • The logos shown in the photos are just from the H2D sticker pack. Nothing fancy - just slapped on for flair.
  • The original Fusion model and a STEP file are included, so you can create your own trays for additional tools or accessories.

⚠️ Print Tips (PLA on Bambu H2D)

  • These are large-ish boxes, and PLA warping is a possible issue on the H2D. I had warping until I manually disabled the chamber exhaust fan on the printer itself (as of 2025-05-05, you still can’t do this through the print profile). The H2D’s cooling is almost too effective - especially in rooms below 20°C. Turning off the exhaust keeps the chamber warm enough for PLA to behave.

Changelog

  • 2025-11-09 - Fixed clearance issues that some had with laser module. Updated print profile, Fusion, Step, and STL files.
