I have created this custom holder to use an external filament spool directly on the IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard. You don't need anything you don't already have in your printer's packaging! The design allows for easy mounting of the holder onto the grid and can be folded away when not needed, occupying minimal space.

For the arm, I reused the metal bracket included in the printer's packaging (the one designed for spools), securing it to the 3D printed part using the same screws used to secure the bed during transport. Those with a threaded part and a pin part, to be clear! A practical way to give new life to components that would otherwise remain unused!

Features:

  • Compatible with IKEA SKÅDIS perforated panels
  • Compact and foldable design
  • Easy to assemble and disassemble
  • Reuses the original metal spool holder supplied with the printers
  • Uses the transport bed locking screws for fixing
  • Can be used with external spools for 3D printers

Printing Recommendations:

  • Recommended material: PLA or PETG
  • Recommended infill: 15-20%
  • Supports: needed
  • No file modification required
