Summer has arrived, bringing with it the season of family outings. Many have likely experienced the joy of fishing by the lake, haven't they? Every summer, I take my children to the nearby lake to fish, catching vibrantly coloredroach and easy-to-care-fortopminnows, among others—the children are always delighted.
Why is it called a fishing artifact? Through personal testing, it proves far more effective than other fishing tools. The fish entry points are designed to prevent small fish from escaping, multiple entry points increase catch volume, and a collapsible design allows for convenient portability.
It is advisable to 3D print the “fish trap entry point” using PETG. PLA lacks sufficient resilience and is unsuitable for tooling. If you lack PETG and require strength, you can print this “Collapsible Fish Trap Entry Point (PETG and PLA compatible)” using these settings.
A collapsible version for the Mini is not yet available. Mini users can print the standard fish trap or the entry point for a hands-on experience. The collapsible and standard “fish trap entry points” are interchangeable.

Fish bait and weather conditions are also crucial. I'll share a secret recipe for homemade fish bait:
Cornmeal: 100g, Flour: 50g, Honey or Brown Sugar: 10g, High-Proof Liquor: 3g, Sesame Oil: 3g, MSG: 3g, One Egg. Knead until well combined.
Add water if the mixture is too firm, or flour if it's too soft. A delightful surprise awaits, enough fun for a whole day!

Previously, I used household oil drums, a rather cumbersome process. Of course, you can also just print the “fish trap entry point” and assemble it yourself, enjoying the creative process!
Below are images of a fish trap crafted from a household oil drum:
