I designed this silica gel container suitable for cardboard spools; I use it with eSun spools, and in addition to drying, it serves to weigh down the spool so it doesn't jam when the filament is running low, making the spool very light.
You can drill small holes to allow the silica to absorb moisture using a small drill bit; I used a milling cutter (see photo).
