Description

Stand with screw adjustment for common USB microscope. All parts are 3D printed, no additional hardware is needed (except the microscope itself). Allows for precise height regulation to get good focus. This is my preferred tool for flow dynamics and flow rate calibration results verification. Holes on the stand are for cable management with zip ties.

I printed this from PETG but PLA, ABS or other filaments will work. Prints require some support, I prepared a custom profile to minimalize it. To get smooth screw regulation action use light oil on the screw and carriage rail (like PTFE).

 

V2 update 2025.07.17:

Following @LKreations comment (thanks!), added a base attachment that allows to mount and view typical microscope slides. This new part is only an add-on, it fits the original microscope design. You can use smartphone light to light up slides from the bottom. Slides can be secured using prepared hold down arms that are also 3D printed (these must be somewhat flexible, better to print these from ABS or PETG, not PLA). New version available as a new print profile.
