20mm & 100mm Cuvette Holders for Thermo Scientific Evolution 201

This is a replacement cuvette holder for a ThermoFisher Scientific Evolution 201 UV-Visible Spectrophotometer. It may work for similar / related models.

The original equipment configuration used a standard 3.5ml cuvette. (Approx. 12mm x 12mm x 45mm)

Our faculty wanted to try larger sample sizes, which required larger cuvettes.

These cuvette holders replace the original, and attach to the original base plate using the same screw, and holds a 20mm (7ml) or 100mm (35ml) cuvette.

These are shorter than the OEM cuvette holder, allowing the larger cuvettes to extend above the top of the holder, making them easier to grip by hand or tool as needed.

They were printed with 3 shells and a 30% infill to provide some structural strength, as they may be handled by students.

Note: The "20mm" and "100mm" refers to the length of the light path provided by the cuvette.

They were printed in black PLA, to avoid any problems due to the light that could be reflected by other colors.
