Description

This is a 3D printable feeler gauge set designed for makers, engineers, and 3D printing enthusiasts. It features debossed (engraved-in) size labels from 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm in 0.2 mm increments, making it easy to read and tactile.

Perfect for checking gap sizes, tolerances, or understanding FDM layer heights in real life, this tool provides a reliable hands-on reference for 3D printing projects.

Each blade includes a thumb tab at the end for easy one-handed use — just flick open the blade you need, fan-style. Ideal for both bench and field work.

Assembly Guide

Refer to the included image for a visual step-by-step guide.

🛠️ Needed:

  • printed parts
  • super glue

🔩 Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Stack and Insert Components

  • Start by passing the screw through the hole in the enclosure piece (the outer base with the pivot point).
  • Then alternate the components like this:
washer → blade → washer → blade → ...  until all blades are added.
  • Ensure each washer separates the blades to allow smooth movement.

2. Apply Super Glue

  • Apply a small drop of glue to the threads of the enclosure or inside the screw channel before final tightening. This helps prevent loosening over time.

3. Screw It In

  • Secure the screw fully but don’t overtighten — the blades should rotate freely, like a fan.

✅ Features:

  • Debossed size markers (long-lasting and print-friendly)
  • Thumb flick ends for one-handed operation
  • Compact and portable design
  • Ideal for checking real-world print layer thicknesses
