Date Labels

Primarily designed for better identification of eggs' edibility period. It can also be used for other items requiring time marking.

It pairs perfectly with newly designed egg cartons (see project page), and also works with store-bought rolling egg racks.

To accommodate various conceivable scenarios, different styles have been created, printed separately, see detailed plate descriptions below.

Plate 1: Date Labels

Because it's originally intended for eggs, it doesn't involve many months. Only last month and this month's month plates are included, but the 31 number plates can use smaller unused numbers as months in front as needed. Color separation is for better visibility. The font is designed to be prominent to provide leverage when retrieving.

Plate 4: Blank Labels

You can create other texts yourself using slicing.

Plate 2, Plate 3: Angled Bases

One is single-sided insertion, the other is double-sided. It is recommended to print the double-sided one. This is designed to match my refrigerator door. Previously, a simple sticker version was created, which is Plate 6, glossy, without a place to insert date pieces.

Plate 5: Upright Bases

The conical style is matched with the small holes in the newly designed egg cartons. Holes with a diameter of 13 or less work well; inserting it inside does not affect egg placement. The cone tip is not sharp, so there is no worry about injury.

However, to allow use without small holes, an upright base has been created. Many bases were tested, and this one is currently the most stable. The downside is that it requires the eggs to leave space for it.

Plate 7: Insert Bases

It saves a little more space than the upright base. It is compatible with the new egg rack shell and also suitable for other egg rack styles.
