Description

AMS lite universal large hole spool adapter and lock, enable the use of spools with large holes and lock the spool to avoid accidental opening, for brands like : Sunlu(old spool) / Geetech / Jayo and more! 🤩

Updated model : Now compatible with SUNLU gen 2 reusable spools ! (The inner hole on the SUNLU gen 2 spool is 63mm, this adapter is now 62mm in width to accept them)

Since the AMS lite only accept spools with a inner diameter of 53-58 mm i made this universal spool adapter. I'm using multiple of those models myself and they work perfectly, i printed them with basic PLA and no support.

The screw thread is tight by design to secure the spool and avoid any problems with the printer vibrations and the AMS lite rotation.

A boost is a nice way of supporting me if you liked this design. Thank you

The maximum inner diameter supported by this spool adapter is : 80 mm

The maximum width supported by this spool adapter is : 64 mm (The ams lite maximum width accepted is 68 mm)

How to use :

  • 1/ Insert the longer part on the side of your spool that will be the closer to the AMS lite > the flat part should be pointing outside of the spool
  • 2/ Insert the smaller part on the other side of your spool (the one that will be the farther from the AMS lite) and screw until it's secured and the spool is not wobbling (Warning: don't force too much to avoid spool and filament compression) > the flat part should be pointing outside of the spool
  • 3/ Insert the spool adapter and the enclosed spool inside the desired AMS lite slot

Bonus: By design this spool adapter is reusable, just unscrew when you finished your filament.

Tip: The screw is tight, but over time you should check that the spool is still nicely secured (don't force)

Happy printing! 🄳
