3D printing a model often takes multiple test prints, which uses a lot of time.   Providing a creator with even a small amount of PLA/PETG can help them test and share more helpful models like yours!

Aquarium Plant Anchors (20-Minute Quick Print)

Designed to secure aquatic plants to the aquarium bottom, while simultaneously providing bottom holes for root growth. Dark filament is recommended for printing; the light-obstructed bottom accelerates root development in the dark, while ensuring rapid water circulation and unimpeded root growth. The central aperture accommodates plant insertion; smaller specimens like Ceratophyllum demersum are readily secured. Both PETG and PLA will sink.

I use these with a volcanic rock, filterless aquarium; fish and shrimp waste serve as plant nutrients. Therefore, the bottom allows for unrestricted root growth, achieving water purification. Longer Ceratophyllum demersum stems can be trimmed and inserted for propagation (at least 7cm for optimal survival); established plants will sprout new branches.

Seven fully planted anchors create a lush effect. Direct planting in volcanic rock substrate is possible, though less secure and requires deeper embedding; the anchors prevent uprooting by water currents from fish.

If plants remain buoyant even with the anchors, invert the model and insert the plant before adding volcanic or river rock to secure the roots. Thank you to user: 打废一大筐, for this usage suggestion

Wishing you smooth sailing on your print — no stringing, no failed prints!
