Description

This air exhaust adapter for the H2D allows for a fixed tube installation when the H2D is close to a wall and offers a lid to quickly open/close it without having to mount and remove the tube when switching between printing and laser cutting/engraving. The lid can be opened/closed single handed. The minimum space required behind the H2D is 8cm.

Required filaments are PLA/PETG for the body and TPU for the seals. I used TPE 83A, presumably the softer, the better.

There are 3 TPU seals:

  • The main seal between the printer and the adapter body (printed separately)
  • The lid seal (printed directly on the lid)
  • The exhaust seal (printed separately)

After printing, assemble the lid using 3 M2x12 screws with nuts. Then attach the tube on the exhaust, adding the exhaust seal. Use a zip tie to secure the tube on the exhaust. There are 2 variants for the exhaust seal. Normally, the slim variant should be good, if you're having troubles air tightening the connection, there's a larger variant of the seal available. Then mount the adapter to the printer using the default screws that came with the printer, adding the main seal in between.
