Tube Press Butterfly

Bespoke Tube Press – For clean and easy emptying of your tubes

I designed and printed a special tube press for my partner to make emptying toothpaste and other tubes significantly easier and cleaner. Often, squeezing out the last bit is quite fiddly and annoying. She desired a small, practical solution that is easy to use.

Since available print templates are often large and unwieldy, I developed my own compact press. The principle is simple: The end of the tube is inserted into the press and then rolled up. The small tabs on the press allow the tube to be easily rolled up, so that no residue remains inside. Once you reach the end, you fold over the arm and secure it with a clamp – done!

The name "Butterfly" comes from my partner, who saw the press for the first time. She felt that the design resembled a butterfly knife, which inspired the name.

This small, practical solution makes emptying tubes easier, cleaner, and more environmentally friendly. Perfect for anyone who wants to use their tubes to the very last bit!

The parts are connected using simple toothpicks. These are inserted through the existing holes and clipped off on both sides. No screws are needed.
