Description

New Version with flares

I created this simple parametric model fpr cylindric bass reflex ports to quickly model, print and test different tunings of your speaker.

Often times it is hard to find bass reflex pipes that correspond to the dimensions you calculated using programs like WinISD. With this model you can quickly create and print the needed size to speed up your speaker building process.

You can edit following parameters:

  • Diameter (inner diameter of the pipe)
  • Wall thickness (the thickness of the pipe walls. Keep in mind that they add to the overall diameter)
  • Pipe length
  • Flange active/inactive (if you want a flange that is mounted to the speaker baffle you can activate it)
  • Flange diameter (The diameter of the flange)
  • Flange thickness (it does not add to the overall length of the model)
  • Mounting holes active/inactive (holes for screws)
  • Hole diameter
  • Countersink diameter (if you are using screws with conical heads you can adjust the countersink to mount the screws flush)

You've got nearly infinite possibilities to adjust the dimensions. Keep in mind that unplausible combinations may create unfeasible designs (e.g. 50mm countersinks on a 20mm Flange).

Enjoy!
