Description
This protective cap was precisely designed for the trailer socket with OEM number **3AA 945 505** (used, for example, in VW, Audi, Skoda). It consists of **two parts**:
- **Lid (Cap):** The outer protective lid.
- **Inner ring (Seal carrier):** Is inserted into the lid (round groove) and glued, serves to hold the seal.
The seal comes from the original part and is reused here. The part was printed from **ASA** – as a result, the surface is not visually perfect, but the function is given. The design is designed for stability and weather protection.
**Notes:**
- Precisely fitting for socket with part number 3AA945505
- Seal not included – ideally take from the original
- Not a spare part in the OEM sense, but a functional replica
- Please connect adhesive points with suitable plastic glue (e.g. superglue, 2K epoxy)
Post-processing is necessary with ASA because the edges with support look very suboptimal, best sanded with sandpaper
and where the spring cover goes in, all supports must be removed so that it lies well and cleanly inside.
