thanks for checking out this model, hope you like it! Additional STEP and STL files are available under downloads :)

Add a modern and minimal touch to your space with this sleek tissue box designed for use with toilet paper rolls. This model comes in two patterns, Ribbed (clean straight lines), and Sweep (elegant curved lines), each with a matching lid designed to complement the side walls perfectly.

Each lid is carefully designed to visually continue the pattern of the base.

  • Ribbed lid has straight lines that lead to the center, and matches the Ribbed walls
  • Sweep lid has curved lines spiraling towards the center, and curves into the side pattern.

The lid twists on with a smooth turn (not twist-lock, so it’s easy to open even with minimal grip) and features a subtle cross-shaped hole in the centre that helps snag and tear tissue effortlessly, without needing two hands.

Loading Method

@plymouthvan's model The Revolutionaries' Toilet Paper Tissue Box is a beautifully designed model that inspired this project, but one aspect I really liked was how the toilet paper was loaded.

This model is designed for you to remove the cardboard core from the toilet paper roll before placing it inside. You then grab the paper from the inside of the roll and push it through the opening.

This means:

  • The roll doesn’t need to spin, reducing snags and unintentional tears
  • You can squeeze the roll into the opening, even if the diameter is slightly too large

It’s a neat trick that works beautifully. Thank you William for sharing!

Two Sizes Available

Choose the one that suits your roll size best:

  • Regular
    • Inner diameter: 137mm
    • Opening diameter: 108mm
    • Fits most standard rolls
  • Large
    • Inner diameter: 153mm
    • Opening diameter: 122mm
    • Best for larger-than-average rolls or premium plush brands

Printing Notes

The print profiles have four plates. The first two are for the regular size, and the last two are for the large. Each plate is clearly named for your convenience.

If you haven't noticed, the bin body is printed with just 1 wall instead of 2!

Here's why:

  • Strength: Despite being 1-wall, it remains extremely rigid thanks to the debossed pattern which naturally reinforces the structure.
  • Filament Savings:
    • Regular Sweep Bin
      • 2 Walls: 208.26g
      • 1 Wall: 143.85g (Saves 64.41g)

  • Time Savings:
    • Regular Sweep Bin
      • 2 Walls: 10h 30min
      • 1 Wall: 7h 32min (Saves 2h 58 min)

One downside, however, is the print quality. With just one wall, infill artifacts (if any) are more noticeable from the outside.

But, if your machine is well-tuned and calibrated, you’ll get beautiful, crisp results.

Happy printing! Let me know in the comments if you want any changes (new patterns maybe?), or just want to share your print!
