Table Tennis Ball Serving Machine
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is a table tennis ball serving machine I designed. From the conceptual design to the final product, it took two months, with several iterations and optimizations along the way to solve numerous challenges. These included high-speed vibration, jamming of the screw conveyor, portable power supply, preventing balls from falling out of the hopper, and the selection of a suitable general-purpose motor, among others. The current version has reliably served 3000 balls.
The machine's construction is divided into the following modules: extruder, screw conveyor, extruder control, screw control, battery pack, charging/discharging, and anti-jamming.
Below is a list of parts needed besides the 3D printed components. (Consider having a few extra screws on hand):
1. BL2717 external rotor brushless motor 12V + motor wires (NIDEC recommended; Guomeng is also an option) * 2
2. N20 miniature geared motor * 1
3. PWM speed controller * 2
4. Voltage regulator * 1
5. 12V charging/discharging module * 1
6. 18650 battery holder * 1
7. 18650 batteries * 2
8. Bearings (inner diameter 6, outer diameter 13, thickness 5) * 1
9. Rocker switch (21*15) * 1
10. Pan head machine screws M2.5*5 (for securing the brushless motor; motor supplier may not include screws, purchase separately) * 4
11. Pan head self-tapping screws ST3*8 (for securing all printed parts) * 48
12. 24AWG wire, black * 1 meter
13. 24AWG wire, red * 1 meter
14. White silicone tube (inner diameter 30.5) * 2
