Description
🎃👻 "Boo-Bowl the Candy Guardian" – A Spooky Sweet Trap! 👻🎃
Meet the Boo Bowl, the ghostly candy jar with a mischievous mission: to protect your Halloween treats from greedy grabbers and candy crooks! This spectral sentinel may look friendly with its wide-eyed charm and transparent, ghostly glow (especially when printed in clear filament), but don’t be fooled - The Boo Bowl is a clever little trickster.
Designed like a classic monkey trap, the Boo Bowl lures trick-or-treaters in with its generous candy stash, but here’s the twist: the hole in the top of its head is juuuust big enough for a polite handful. Try to snatch a fistful or dump the whole bowl into your bag? Oops! Your hand’s stuck, and the Boo Bowl has thwarted you!
- 🖐️ Hand-Sized Hijinks: Perfectly sized for child-sized hands. An adult female hand will fit as well, but an adult male may need to tip the candy bowl over and use their fingers to grab candy from the hole.
- 🍬 Hauntingly Spacious: Holds a ghost-load of candy, so you won’t need to refill every five minutes.
- 👻 See-Through Spookiness: When printed with transparent filament, the Boo Bowl gives off eerie ghost vibes and lets you keep an eye on your candy levels without unscrewing the lid (we were able to use our doorbell camera to monitor the candy level while we were out trick-or-treating).
- 🔒 Lock & Tether Ready: The Boo Bowl isn’t just spooky - it’s secure! A discreet loop on the back allows you to lock and tether the jar to a porch railing, table, or post, preventing the bowl from being opened and emptied and preventing the entire bowl from vanishing into the night with a candy thief.
Whether you're warding off candy bandits or just want a fun conversation piece on your porch, the Boo Bowl is the Halloween hero you didn’t know you needed. Sweet, spooky, and just a little bit sneaky.
Printing:
Supports needed for base and head (support critical regions only)
10% gyroid infill, 2 wall loops
Note: the spider legs act as loops to secure elastic thread to prevent candy from being dumped out of the hole. The print file also includes a version without the spiders if you don't want to use elastic thread. In order to save printing time and materials, I printed the bowl out of transparent PLA filament and used a sharpie to color the ghost and spider eyes.
Additional materials needed for maximum candy security: elastic thread, a lock, and cord to tether the candy bowl.
