Description

Wind Speed & Direction Anemometer (Dual Bearing)

This 3D-printable model features both an anemometer (for wind speed) and a wind vane (for direction), mounted on separate shafts with independent bearings for accurate and reliable readings.

🔧 Features:

  • Dual-bearing design to prevent directional interference
  • Easy to print and assemble
  • Mounts to any standard railing or surface
  • Ideal for STEM projects, weather stations, or Arduino/Raspberry Pi integration
  • Print-friendly parts – no supports needed

🪛 Assembly Notes:

  • Requires 2 small bearings or smooth rods (internal diam 8mm, outer diam:22mm, thickness 7mm)
  • Optional: Add a small metal washer or lubricant for low-friction rotation
  • You may adjust the tail size for better wind alignment in low-wind conditions

🎓 Educational Use:
Perfect for classrooms, weather hobbyists, or makers who want to measure wind without buying expensive equipment.

💡 Tip: Pair with a Hall effect sensor or rotary encoder for digital wind speed monitoring.
