Cao Cao ——The Hundred-Proof Blade——“Only the Blade Can Resist a Hundred Attacks, Only the Mind Remains Unchanged”
Print Profile(1)

Description
Cao Cao commissioned artisans to forge the Hundred-Proof Blade during the Jian'an period (circa 196-220 AD).
The blade's sharpness was such that it could “cut through rhinoceros hide on land and dragon horns in water”.
The inscription on the blade, “Only the blade can resist a hundred attacks, only the mind remains unchanged,” emphasizes a will tempered by hardship.
