This is a character I created for my series "Tidbits of Drift Current City"—Ah Yu. In fact, he originates from a picture book I made over 10 years ago called "Fishshell Village." Ah Yu and Ah Shui are siblings who make a living by salvaging goods along the river. However, with technological advancements, their livelihood is quickly disappearing. Eventually, they are forced to drift to Drift Current City in search of new opportunities. The younger brother, Ah Yu, is a laid-back individual who loves slacking off but has a deep fascination with machinery.

• This time, the biggest difference is that I added engraved lines to the face, which should make painting the face much more convenient. However, it might take away some of the fun of freely expressing facial expressions. Feel free to leave comments and feedback on whether having engraved lines is better or not.
• I also experimented with using pencils or black markers directly on the white model to simulate a comic-like effect! Personally, I quite like it—it’s a simple way to find joy effortlessly.
• All the models are handmade, which has pleasantly surprised many enthusiasts with their quality. Thank you! During production, I’ve gradually started considering the relationship between details and printing. For instance, I keep the smallest unit of detail above 0.4mm to ensure the nozzle can produce effective results. This time, the combination of the 0.4mm nozzle and 0.12mm layer height delivered excellent results, with the engraved lines on the mouth being particularly well-defined.

• Recently, the southern region has entered the rainy season, and many users of textured plates have faced issues like adhesion failure. It might be necessary to apply some glue to the textured plate or switch to a stability-enhanced plate. Over the past few days, I’ve frequently encountered localized failures with the textured plate, whereas the low-temperature stability-enhanced plate has proven to be very reliable.
