Description

With this drying tray you can dry your silica balls in the Graef DA-2042 dehydrator.

4 of these trays can be put into the machine at once. One tray holds around 1 liter.

 

The lid is optional, you no not really need it.

 

Take care about the drying temperature! PLA is NOT possible.

Even with ABS/ASA you cannot go up to the normal limit of the material. I experienced that the tray will deform earlier. That is because of the weight of the silica that creates a big load additionally to the warm temperature. So with the time, the tray will start to deform even if you stay just below the critical temperature.

But after 4 hours with a low temperature (I think it was around 60 °C) the silica was completely as new - see my pictures.

The supports at the tray can be removed easily!
