9. Worm Gear
Characteristics of worm gear structures: 1. Extremely high gear ratio, excellent speed reduction. Due to sliding friction, transmission efficiency is lower than that of gears. 2. Perpendicular transmission direction. 3. Self-locking effect when the worm wheel torsion angle is small.
This model's worm gear has a module of 2, 25 teeth, a worm pitch diameter of 12, and a lead of 4.
Due to the influence of print layer lines on the gear contact surface, there may be some initial stiffness; it will become smoother after a period of use.
