Description
This STL file allows you to 3D print a cap compatible with 24Bottles brand water bottles (should also work with 1L bottles). The design is engineered for a secure closure and good sealing, while maintaining an aesthetic similar to the original. The thread is precise and the seal seat is well-defined, but it is crucial to reuse the original gasket of the cap to ensure proper liquid sealing. Without the gasket, the cap will not be able to maintain the hermetic seal necessary to prevent leaks.
The cap was printed in PLA, but I recommend using PETG for increased strength and durability for long-term daily stress, water resistance, and sun resistance. It is advisable to thoroughly wash the cap after each use. Remember that despite using food-safe materials, 3D printing has a high risk of bacterial buildup (due to the printing layers), so reprinting is recommended after some time.
The cap is not tested for hot or gaseous liquids. It is not an original 24Bottles product nor in collaboration with them, not created for sale, but a compatible replacement to be used with caution. Always check the seal before daily use.
