I’m using 100% of the MakerWorld points generated from this model to buy filament that will go toward printing free custom bookmarks for our new local library. The library just opened in my small town, and they’re running a reading program for kids — these bookmarks will be given out as fun, personalized rewards to help encourage young readers.
A new library just opened in town, and when my 4-year-old checked out her very first book, she wanted a bookmark to go with it. Naturally, I made one to 3D print – and of course, I knew my 2-year-old would want one too if big sister got one. So I designed this customizable bookmark you can personalize with any name or message.
This bookmark features:
- Rounded corners
- Name engraving in the center
- Automatically resizes to fit longer names while keeping clean proportions
- Minimum dimensions: 165 mm long × 55 mm wide × 2 mm thick
- Optional cut-through (uses stencil-safe fonts so letters like "O" and "A" don’t fall out)
✅ Use the MakerWorld customizer to change the name.
🛠️ If you want to change the font, download the .scad file and open it in OpenSCAD. Font customization isn't supported in the online customizer due to font availability and rendering limitations.
- some fonts are spaced differently so if the bookmark isnt scaling properly edit the code portion "estimated_text_length" make the multiplier larger if the letters arent fitting on the bookmarkand smaller if there seems to be too much space
