Travelling all over the world with my camera i have always feared losing it or getting it stolen, having an AirTag on it doesnt help much as thief's would just remove it, so for the longest time i've had a modified SmartTag inside a lens and body cap attached to my camera.
This works but i wanted something more clean, so i worked on this to allow you to have an AirTag or SmartTag (1 and 2) inside the body of the body cap (model: ALC-B1EM) without it being visible or easy to get out.
Printing tips:
- Once printed remove the support carefully, it does not matter much if the inside of the cap is ugly, so dont worry too much.
- Install the tracker of choice and screw on the cover, to tighten it please use a ALC-R1EM and not your camera body as you dont want plastics in the sensor area should something break.
Bonus:
Most trackers can be modded to not have a speaker, this makes it harder to find for a thief
