Description

This is a 3D-printable camera tripod that aims to be both sturdy and just the right amount of over-engineered. The main part ("head") is designed to accept either an M6 or a 1/4-inch screw with a hex head, depending on the version you choose. Simply press and glue the screw into place for a secure mount.

The tripod legs attach using printable "leg bolts" which should also be glued into the main part. There's also a small part called the "spider" which can be glued underneath to lock the screw in place and prevent it from falling out.

The model is tested and holds up well under moderate loads. While I didn’t have a 1/4” screw on hand to verify fit, the dimensions should be accurate.

You can also find a GoPro-style action camera adapter and a replacement thumbscrew on my MakerWorld profile – designed to be compatible with this tripod.
