Description

Top mount your dry box to your Bambu A1! Here are Cereal Killer's top features:

  • No Tools Needed. Just snaps on
  • Designed for popular cereal dry boxes found on Amazon (link to one I used below)
  • Print direct from Dry Box. Humidity is 11% while printing (in my climate)

I made Cereal Killer because I needed to print from a drybox and easily pick my printer up to move it. When working on a big project I'll move my printer into the kitchen for long overnight prints. Doing this with the AMS lite attached is kind of a pain. Detach all the ptfe tubes. Unplug the AMS cable. Move each separately. Also the filament is exposed to moisture.

So… I've made my A1 my dedicated Easy-to-move-Drybox-Printer by ditching the AMS and using Cereal Killer top mount.

I used the nuovva Cereal Storage Containers  from Amazon UK. Make sure to get similar dry boxes. I think they are the same few types sold across all countries (Amazon USA, UK, CA etc).

If you like my models and want to say thanks a Boost is greatly appreciated! I worked extra hard on the ridiculous name for this one :)

It's Designed to be a Tight Fit

I wanted it to be snug friction fit to make sure the dry box wouldn't fall out during printing. Sometimes the 4 pack of the cereal dry boxes aren't all identical in size and you may need to scale up 0.5%. However I've always managed to force it in without problem, they are quite flexible.

Desiccant Spool Holder

I designed my own spool holder with desiccant storage which I'll include in the profile. They are many many on makerworld, but I wanted mine to simple with no hardware needed.

Filament Choice

PLA or PETG are great choices. I used PETG-GF for mine but also tested it in Bambu Basic PLA.
