Bambu ASA Aero profile for RC aircraft
Print Profile(0)
Description
This model presents exemplary parameters for printing a fixed-wing model aircraft using Bambu Lab ASA Aero filament with a single perimeter wall and appropriately sparse infill, rather than vase mode.
ASA Aero, being an actively foamed material, is ideally suited for uninterrupted vase mode printing of model aircraft (as per the official example ASA Aero). However, vase mode necessitates specific design considerations within the model itself, making it unsuitable for solid models (such as the popular Titan Dynamic series of fixed-wing model aircraft). Standard printing with a single wall and n% sparse infill involves considerable pauses, retractions, and empty movements, potentially leading to localized material deficiencies and stringing (significant oozing). These parameters have been tested and refined to eliminate material shortages while minimizing oozing without compromising material integrity.
Please Note!!!
- The 3mf file is based on Orca Slicer 2.3.0, and certain crucial functionalities are exclusive to Orca Slicer 2.3.0 (such as 2D lattice infill and additional backfilling after retraction). Please use Orca Slicer 2.3.0 to open; using Bambu Studio might lead to unforeseen issues.
- Ensure the filament is thoroughly dried and that dynamic flow tests and other calibrations are complete. Preheating the build plate and using an enclosure are recommended before printing to prevent warping and cracking.
- The 3mf file includes a Titan Micro Claw partial wing model for reference only; specific infill ratios, localized reinforcements, hole compensation, and bed adhesion settings need adjustments based on the actual model.
