Description

After many attempts and failed prints, I discovered the easiest way to print TPU on my setup: feeding the filament from the top with the lid open.
BUT — the fumes and smell? Not ideal indoors and potentially hazardous.

So I designed and printed this custom rack/shelf that feeds the TPU filament directly into the PTFE tube and it works perfectly with the top lid closed!

  • Clean prints

  • No fumes

  • No hacks or printer modifications

I printed the rack using PETG with PLA as support, and the results were so clean, you can't even tell supports were used!
 To replicate my setup:

  • Load PETG in the left nozzle
  • Load PLA in the right nozzle
  • Print!

The rack slides right into the external spool holder slot — no drilling, no adapters, nothing extra needed.

If you're wondering about the spool holders — I got them off Aliexpress for around $3. Let me know if you need the link.
