Description

This is a gothic style cap for 4x4 fence \ deck posts. They are approximately ~6.75" tall. There are two countersunk holes on the front and back so you can hold them in place on the post with screws, just take care not to overdrive the screws. Finish the last turn to snug them up by hand.  These are hollow inside for faster printing! The interior dimensions are 3-9/16"x3-9/16" ("4x4" lumber is actually 3-½"x3-½"). These should have a snug fit on still wet green pressure treated lumber. I have also included a version with no screw holes. Do not use a layer height larger than .16 or you may encounter overhang issues! No supports necessary otherwise.   ***it is highly advisable that you print these in PETG or ASA. A hot day will warp them if you use PLA, particularly if you use a dark color.***

-If you go larger than .16 layer height please use adaptive layers to avoid overhang issues.

-Up to 4 can fit on an X1/A1/P1 build plate at once! Please clean your plate well with dish soap before attempting 4 at once.

Any boosts are greatly appreciated! I test all my models before uploading! It often takes a fair amount of filament to get a design dialed in perfectly for a good fit.
