Parafango Mudguard MTB Bike Bicycle

Designed and 3D printed fender in PETG HF, usable for both front and rear forks. The fender has 5 slots for fixing with electrician's cable ties to the fork. For correct assembly, heat the inner central part with a bodywork hairdryer or a hair dryer (I used a bodywork hairdryer) to make the PETG malleable so that it can then be shaped as desired with bare hands. I first created the curvature along the entire length of the fender, so as to make the two flaps to be fixed to the fork parallel, then I prepared the cable ties in the slots. I inserted the fender into position and slightly closed the cable ties in order to have an indicative pre-positioning. With the hairdryer, I reheated the printed model and then proceeded to tighten the cable ties, shaping the fender by hand and with the help of a screwdriver so that it took the desired shape.

During the heating phase with the hairdryer, be careful not to burn yourself and not to overheat the model; instead, proceed in small modeling steps. If the PETG becomes too hot, in addition to not being able to shape the model, you could completely deform the fender, making it unusable.
