IKEA Rolfstorp Spigot and 1/4 Tripod Adapter

This upgrade transforms IKEA's affordable Rolfstorp LED lamp into a fully functional studio light. The Rolfstorp lamp is ideally suited as accent or hair lighting, and even performs excellently as fill light. Its warm white light renders optimal skin tones. The tripod adapter makes the LED lamp perfect for both photography and videography.

However, securing the lamp can be challenging. Therefore, this design provides a universal adapter for common lighting stands with spigot connections or 1/4" photo tripod threads.

The mounting points are arranged to allow for both portrait and landscape orientation.

The adapter is designed to prevent the lamp from slipping.

The adapter can be printed in PLA.

The screws should be printed in PETG. The threads of the screws and the bores in the adapter are ¼ inch photo threads.

I recommend carefully threading the screws into place with a little oil or lightly chasing the threads beforehand.
